Here’s some information on penalty changes
Seatbelt penalties
Not wearing a seatbelt will cost you $1078 and four demerits.
Expect cameras and police.
Anywhere. Anytime.
Speeding penalties
If you’re caught speeding 11-20km/h over on our roads, you cop a $431 fine and three demerits.
But the alternative could be far worse.
Red light penalties
If you run a red light, you’ll get hit with a fine of $575 and three demerits.
So expect cameras and police.
